The Boston Marathon is twenty six miles (forty two kilometers) in length. The prize is sought after by twenty four thousand people. This marathon is for elite runners -- the best of the best -- as all participants must qualify to gain entry. On April twentieth, our beloved Sharon Votery completed the one hundred thirteenth Boston Marathon. The marathon started in two waves this year, Sharon Votery began her adventure at half past ten o'clock in the morning. Sharon was able to complete this quest alongside her dear friends. For Sharon, one highlight of the trek was spotting Bill Rodgers, also known as Boston Billy -- a four time winner of this competition. Sharon Votery completed the Boston Marathon with a time of three hours and fifty three minutes. Fantastic ! Sharon is eagerly awaiting running throughout the City on the Hill again soon.
